The queen of pop music, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, affectionately called Queen Bey hits 40! 

Over two decades now, the extraordinary and talented singer has been relevant in the music industry. Celebrating this milestone has called for well-wishes and praises from family, industry colleagues, and fans worldwide.

It’s been a fantastic journey in the superstar’s life. Today, marking her 40th birthday, it has been widely celebrated globally, especially among African-American young female musicians she set the pace for.  

Beyoncé has indeed been of great inspiration to many artists in the music and entertainment industry. The love showered on Beyonce today is fantastic. MTV took Beyoncé’s fans back to 2014 when she was awarded as the Video Vanguard at the VMAs as a way of celebrating her legacy on her special day. 

UN Women also took to Twitter to celebrate the screen goddess for her remarkable impact in the role of women empowerment and equality. Taylor swift media sent hearty good wishes to her and praised her for her kindness and significant influence in the music industry. 


Beyoncé Turns 40 - African CELEBS

Several media outlets, including BET, Netflix, and Billboard, have paid tribute to the greatest of all-time entertainer. Other artists, including Billie Elish, Kehlani, Dream Girls, Essence, and a lot more, have shared in the joy of the icon. 

Her pictures and collection of her early music to her current projects and excerpts of series of her fiercely stage performances have been displayed on social media to celebrate her legendary contribution in the world of entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle. Yes! It’s been a red-letter day in the life of the music star. 

Last year, the Grammy awards winner marked her 39th birthday in a grand style with series of projects including her Lion King; The Gift album, which featured some African artists like Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, etc. alongside her “Black Is King” Visual album which has been well-received across the globe. 

Queen Bey was engulfed with love and gifts from her destiny child group and her family. Her mother complied with her very young age stage performances in joy as she celebrated her daughter’s feet on Instagram.

Beyoncé gained public recognition at a very age when she was just 9years as a leading vocalist for the R&B music group known as Destiny’s Child. Subsequently, she competed and won talent shows with her sensational singing and electrifying dancing skills. 

She released her debut album “Dangerously in Love” as a solo artist in 2003, which sold successfully and earned her awards, including five Grammys. Later she began acting and starred in a couple of movies such as Austin Powers in Goldmember, 2002, Dream Girls, Carmen: A Hip Hopera, Pink Panther, and Obsessed. Climbing to the top of her music career, she closely worked with top-notch talents like Sean Paul, her beloved Jay-Z, and Missy Elliot.

Following her debut album, dangerously in love, Beyoncé has released hits upon hits on projects such as “B’Day,” “I Am… Sasha Fierce”, “Funk,” “Beyoncé” and “Lemonade,” all released between 2006 and 2016. In 2018, she collaborated with her Jay- Z on another album dubbed Everything Is Love as the Carters.

As an internationally recognized music star and actress, Beyoncé has earned numerous awards from awards schemes like MTV Video Music Awards, Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and Forbes. This year, Time’s Magazine mentioned her as one of the 100 women who defined the last century. 

Beyoncé is also a philanthropist who has led many humanitarian activities under the Beygood Foundation to support less privileged individuals and vulnerable communities. The foundation has helped in education by providing scholarships and grants, empowering women, disaster relief initiatives, just to mention a few.


Finally, the long awaited and most talked about music video for the song “Already” by  Beyoncé in collaboration with Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale and Jamaican record producer and DJ, Major Lazer is out!
Beyoncé who is set to release her musical film and visual album ‘Black Is King’ on Disney plus later in the day served her fans with exclusive official music video for the single, “Already” Ft. Shatta Wale in the early hours of Friday July 31, 2020.
“Already” is an excerpt from Beyoncé’s The Lion King; The Gift album which was released in July 2019. The album is a soundtrack curated by Beyoncé for the lion king remake in 2019.
It was released by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records in America and featured several American artistes and African artistes like, Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade among others.
Beyoncé had the same paint in stripes all over her body. She was also spotted dancing in dark brown pajamas with crescent moon designs on it whiles surrounded with females in same outfit and dancing in many locations.
Shatta Wale was also seen sitting on a horse and on a throne as a king whiles delivering his chorus. The crew were dancing energetically as well as Beyoncé and Shatta Wale making the video more stimulating.
The video has received positive reactions from Ghanaian celebrities like delay, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinnata, Stonebwoy and many more.
Shatta Wale himself posted on his twitter account thanking Beyoncé for such an incredible opportunity for him to show the world his endowment through this historic collaboration
He has also been celebrated for the remarkable achievement in Ghana and Africa as a whole. Fans all over the world have also reacted positively to the video quality and the song.

Beyonce Knowles-Carter Stars in the Lion King

In 2019, the American entertainment industry received yet another bombshell with the musical film, titled The Lion King, produced by Jon Favreau.

The musical film is a photorealistic remake of Disney’s award-winning traditionally animated film, The Lion King in 1994.

The remake featured top-rated personnel in the entertainment industry including Seth Rogen, Donald Glover, Alfre Woodard, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, Billy Eichner, John Kani, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones.

Despite much contemplation over the availability of the Grammy-award winning star, Beyonce Knowles, Jon Favreau’s adamancy about making Beyonce play the role of Nala eventually paid off.

On November 2017 when it was officially announced that she would be playing the much-anticipated role.

Beyonce, inspired by the new project, has recorded a surprising 14 soundtracks to be released along with the release date of the musical film that has attracted over 174 million viewers through its trailer alone, to be released on the 19th of July, 2019.

The album titled The Lion King: The Gift won the heart of millions who now regard Beyonce as the indispensable tool to rocket Afrobeats in the United States music mainstream.

The Lion King soundtrack featured top African Afrobeats veterans including WizKid, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi to ensure the music meets the nuance of real African music.

As a result, the successful singer nicknamed the soundtrack “A love letter to Africa.”

The soundtrack has helped market the movie has millions are already aware of the upcoming film due to the proficiency and popularity of the hardworking music icon, Beyonce Knowles.

Her album featured other African top-rated artists; Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa from South Africa, Shatta Wale from Ghana along with Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, and Kendrick Lamar, the producer of the Marvel’s Black Panther soundtrack.

Disney’s United Kingdom premiere saw the meeting of royalty between Lioness Nala, Beyonce and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex for the first time.

Following Carter’s family shout out to the Duchess during their Brit awards acceptance speech in February. In what could be termed magical moment.

Their meeting seemed like a regular meeting between to celebrated people to some and to others, it was a meeting between two powerful black women in the world.

Disney’s The Lion King remake was grandly welcomed in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe and is expected to attract millions of viewers in the UK within the first couple of days.

The Lion King will mean so much: Afrobeats ground-breaking moments in the world, reunion and moment of love between the nobles, the revival of the old Disney movie and more. Sure people won’t dare miss out on this as it unfolds.

Ariana Grande allegedly got paid twice more than Beyoncé to headline and Beyoncé fans are not amused.

Some people believe Beyoncé has really changed Coachella in her own way and are wondering why Ariana Grande was reportedly paid double, if the rumours are true.

Beyoncé Releases Live Coachella Album “Homecoming”

Entrepreneur, Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Beyoncé,  recently shocked her highly esteemed beyhive by releasing her album “Homecoming” in a grand style. The live album features the music sensation’s  37-song set, mixing both weekends, including her time with Destiny’s Child, Jay-Z, and J Balvin — and is out on services such as Netflix (and even her old nemesis Spotify).

It also featured a live version of “I Been On” that couldn’t make it into the show. Lastly — and most notably — Beyonce has also finally released her official “Black National Dance”… which she covered many years ago with Destiny’s Child though never formally released. The woman has being on every magazine for her top drop and sure has more up her sleeves.
