There were rumors about the declining state of Stevie Wonder’s health, but he put an end to those. It was previously rumored that he was going through a chronic disease that resulted in kidney failure.

During his performance in London’s Hyde Park on July 6, he announced that he would need to undergo surgery to have a kidney transplant.

He also said his condition is excellent and that he has a donor. Because the donor volunteered, Wonder won’t be placed on a waiting list.

The music legend added that he would have three more concerts before the surgery in September. His next show will be in Dublin tomorrow, followed by two more in the US.

People from all around the world have started sending him good wishes ever since his announcement. This is certainly not the first time Wonder’s health was put to the test.
