Multiple award-winning Ghanaian female vocalist Efya is about to blow the minds of music lovers in her maiden edition of a drive-in cinema and concert in this year’s somewhere in Ghana.

The end of year entertainment programme, spearheaded by Street-Life Entertainment will feature new Nigerian super talented young artiste Omah Lay at the Untamed Empire in Accra, Ghana on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Efya has been promoting the event on her official social media pages with flyers and videos of the amazing forthcoming concert assuring her fans of an exclusive performance.

Tickets for the programme are already out in various categories for the public and it is available for singles at GH¢100, Saloon/Sedan at GH¢ 300 and SUV at GH¢ 500.


The event will also feature couple of local and interesting movies  stars like “Away Bus”. It will be be available on Demand on the Virtual Reality streaming platform

Organised in a carnivalesque atmosphere, the event will be in a form of cinema structure within an enclosed space which will lend itself to a strange combination of socialization and isolation.

Outside of the car, people could mingle and make new friends. Inside the car, they will enjoy privacy and a special viewing opportunity that looks more similar as the living room than the movie palace.


This could be referred to as unique and extraordinary, because it is the first time Efya has hosted a Drive In Concert. 

Efya is well celebrated in Ghana and Africa at large for her greatest contribution to the music industry with her creative and unique style of music.

Omah Lay was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The singer took inspiration from his grandfather who was a drummer for famous Nigerian high life icon Celestine Ukwu.

As a singer, Omah Lay started as a producer whiles he was very young and began singing at age 15.

Officially, he released singles like “Hello Brother” and “Do Not Disturb” in 2019 but gained attention into the limelight following the release of his songs, “You” and “Bad Influence” ahead of his debut EP, “Get Layd” in May 2020. The EP also includes songs like “Damn”, “LoLo”, and “Ye Ye Ye” which has received numerous streams across huge music streaming platforms.

Black Love Virtual Concert On

A week ago, Ghanaian multiple award winning rapper, Sarkodie announced his maiden edition of a virtual concert happening live on the on August 16.

The platform makes it easier for people to connect and relate with people around the world virtually at any time while they enjoy 360 videos in entertainment, education, healthcare training, sports, games and more.

He referred to the virtual concert as Sarkodie Black Love as Sarkodie and friends concert.

After being featured on a couple of songs this year, Ghanaian ace singer and songwriter, Efya has announced her new banger which is set to be realised next month.

The song which is titled, “the one” is a collaboration between Efya and internationally recognised Nigerian singer who is highly admired as “Queen of afrobeats”, Tiwa Savage.

Interestingly, this is a huge collaboration that has been made to serve her fans and the public with a fierce melody during these discouraging times of the covid-19 pandemic to ease their body and soul from the fears.

Efya took to her social media platforms today, asking the public to watch the space as she drops her new song on the 5th of June.

Fellow celebrities and fans across the world have expressed their joy with the two gigantic female artistes putting their beautiful voices in one music.

The team that helped with the production of the song, “the one” is known as Blaq Jerzee.

Efya is also known by her real name, Jane Awindor, is an alumna of the University of Ghana Legon with a first degree in theatre and music. The artiste officially gained public attention in 2008 when she competed in the first edition of the television reality show, stars of the future which she came out second.

Her recognition made her achieve numerous deals and mounted on robust platforms for more exposure.

Since 2008, Efya has produced hits songs and collaborated with colleagues like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr, Eazi, Mugeez, R2bees, Bisa Kdei, etc.

She won Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Best Female Vocal Performance award for four consecutive times (2011- 2014) and a lot more.

In 2012, she was featured in Yvonne Nelson’s movie, Singles and Married. Some of her songs are, ‘Little Things’ ‘One of Your Own’, ‘Best in Me’, ‘Getaway’, ‘Forgetting Me’, ‘Life’, ‘Herself, and ‘Saara’. Efya has been consistent with her music profession and remains one of Ghana’s best female vocalist.

Highly noted as the queen of afrobeat, Nigerian artiste, Tiwa Savage felt her passion for music around 15 years when she and her family had relocated to the United Kingdom.

She started as a backup vocalist for American singer, Mary Jane Blige, Chaka Khan, Ms Dynamite and the late George Michael, a British singer.

Savage partook in the X-Factor television music reality show in the UK in 2006 and later attended the Berklee College of Music obtaining a certificate in professional music in 2007. She also holds a first-degree certificate in accounting at the University of Kent.

After her appearance on the reality show, she gained a deal with American music publishing company which saw her write write for Babyface, Kat Deluna, Fantasia among others.

In 2012, she returned to Nigeria and started her full-time music career. She was signed under Mavin Rcords in Nigeria.

Ak Songstress has just released her long awaited single featuring super talented female vocalist  Efya today, Friday May 08, 2020.

The song which is titled, “Wonua” is actually her first song in the year 2020 and her first time having a song together with a Ghanaian female artist. 


It was produced by Tubhani Musik. The song, “Wonua” has a soothing rhythm and it’s full of inspirations that is really good for the soul.

Award winning Reggae and Dancehall queen, Ak, in a live interview indicated that, wonua is a song that inspires togetherness specifically in this pandemic era.

The song also reminds us that, as human beings we all need each other despite our differences. Therefore, this is the time the world should come together as one and help themselves to combat the “enemy”, Coronavirus pandemic.


Commenting on her collaboration with Efya, Ak stated that, her feature wasn’t to compete with Efya.

However, she wanted to do a song which could fit Efya’s style of singing because she respects Efya’s brand as a professional musician. She also said Efya relates to her more like a sister and that, there wasn’t any monetary charges for her feature on the single “Wonua” even though, she was supposed to charge for the feature.


According to Ak, since the virus has affected many social activities, the music video for her current song, “Wonua” would be released after the ban on social gatherings is lifted.

She’s optimistic that, her concert which she planned on having this year comes through. Ak Songstress stressed that, she’s waiting to do another project with Efya which will be different from her genre of music.


Ak Songstress who is originally known as, Akosua Kwaakye is an award-winning reggae and dancehall artist in Ghana.

The artiste realised her passion for music at a very young age but officially chose music as her profession after senior high school when she got signed under the management of Paradise Entertainment which formerly managed Ghanaian highlife music group VIP and 4×4.

Ak Songstress has more than 40 songs and collaborations with most of Ghana’s male legendary stars like Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Guru, Zeal Kwame Eugene and Jamaican dancehall artiste, Sizzla Kalonji.

She known for songs like, Stamina, Ohemaa, Free N Fair, Operation Feed Yourself, Odo, It’s Not Easy, “Fire Cyaan Don”, Give Dem, holiday just to mention a few.

Multi-Award Winning Ghanaian actress, singer and songwriter Efya (Jane Awindor) is a year older today!

Efya, was born on 10th April, 1987 in Kumasi, Ghana.  Her mother is Nana Adwoa Awindor, a renowned Ghanaian Tv host (Greetings From Abroad) and the Development Queenmother of Afigya-Kwabre district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

During her college years, she attended Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School in Kumasi and later graduated from the University of Ghana Legon majoring in Theatre Arts and minor in music.


She became an instant hit with Ghanaians, this led to her becoming the first runner up in Charter house’s Stars of The Future television show. Efya secured a 3-year recording deal and a collaboration with  Irene Logan.

The multi-talented star has since branched on her own. In 2013, she released ‘This Is Not The Album’  (the ‘T.I.N.T. Album’) and has since released many songs including:  Forgetting Me, Until the Dawn, Love, Paper Guns, Make I Love You, Mamee (with Mr Eazi) Love Genesis, Little Things, Nothing and more.

Ghanaian award-winning Highlife and Afro-Pop music star King Promise’s Promise Land concert On December 22, 2019, was a huge success !

He was blown to fame with songs like “No Problem, “So Special”, “CCTV”, “Oh Yeah” among others. He is signed by legacy entertainment record label.

The Prolific Artiste, began a maiden concert last year called, Promise Land concert, of which he claimed would be done every year to appreciate his fans for listening to his music and supporting him all the time.

Artistes who were featured under the program included; music legend Kojo Antwi, Efya, Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, Kwesi Arthur, Kidi, La Meme Gang, R2bees, Darko Vibes and more

The internationally recognized  Ghanaian based artist Sarkodie’s Black Love Album is officially out today.

In his interviews with the press, Sarkodie told the media that, he used this title to preach love to blacks.

In other words, blacks or Africans should show much love their fellow blacks, accept and support their own.
