Ghanaian female pop-star popularly known by her stage name, Sista Afia embraces a new chapter of her life with a spectacular and fashionable photoshoot on the gram.

Turning a year older, the artist has received warm birthday wishes from loved ones including her industry colleagues, fans, families and friends on her special day.

Others posted her beautiful birthday pictures on their various social media platforms pouring out special blessings upon the new chapter the queen has begun in her life.

As part of the birthday celebration the artist is all set to perform live at Oasis Lounge later in the day at 10 p.m. in Accra, Ghana. The artist shared the programme’s flyer on her official Instagram page dubbed, “Sista Afia’s Birthday Jump Off.”

The talented young and vibrant musician’s real name is  Franscica Gawugah. She is related to one of Ghana’s renowned and powerful men of God popularly known as Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, founder and leader of the Action Chapel International Ministry.

Born in Ghana, Sista Afia grew up in Kumasi where she attended her basic and secondary education at the Reverend John Teye Memorial Institute, Afia Kobi Ampem Girls and Angel Educational Complex.

Following her secondary education, she then travelled to the United Kingdom where she obtained her tertiary educational certificate in general nursing.


However, she diverted from nursing and followed her passion for music. In 2015, she returned to Ghana to pursue her passion in music which has now made Sista Afia a household name.

Currently, she has huge fan base in Ghana, the UK and beyond with her flairs and craft when it comes to music as well as the genre she has used to project the African culture.

Sista Afia has worked incredibly in the entertainment industry and has closely worked with couple of multi-talented Ghanaian artists to showcase the rich culture of Ghana and Africa through music.

Black Love Virtual Concert On

A week ago, Ghanaian multiple award winning rapper, Sarkodie announced his maiden edition of a virtual concert happening live on the on August 16.

The platform makes it easier for people to connect and relate with people around the world virtually at any time while they enjoy 360 videos in entertainment, education, healthcare training, sports, games and more.

He referred to the virtual concert as Sarkodie Black Love as Sarkodie and friends concert.

Although the announcement did not reveal the various artistes who would be performing alongside him. His fans have been  guessing.

However, in the wait of his online concert, King Sark through his countdown journey has been revealing to the public the artistes performing alongside him.

So far, the performing artistes include highlife legend Amakye Dede, Efya,  King Promise, Sista Afia and Kidi.

All the above mentioned artistes, in their unique ways have promoted the African values and the Ghanaian heritage through their styles of music since their exposure into the music industry.

From the genres of hip hop, high-life/hip-life, afrobeats to afro-pop and other genres yet to be known.

Patapaa’s The Pa2pa Album Launch Concert – Swedru 



Justice Amoah, best known by his stage name, Patapaa Amisty is a prominent controversial Ghanaian musician. He broke into limelight with his 2017 debut single.


One Corner and recently a slang trending in the whole of Ghana and all social media, “Sco Pa Tu Manaa.” His debut song, One Corner eventually earned a nomination for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VCMA) in Most Popular Song category.

The One Corner master was born about three decades ago in the town of Swedru to Ghanaian trader parents. He had little education due to the challenging financial instability experienced by his parents.

His mum owned a small pub in the town, and Patapaa was one of her staff. He is the first of three children and struggled through the troubles to get himself and family out of poverty.

According to Patapaa, he was consistently mocked until he became the favorite of Ghana. Patapaa began a music career when he was young.

However, his music career needed a spark he couldn’t get at the time; hence, the low profile he kept. The controversial singer’s determined ambition paid off in 2017 when he released “One Corner” to register himself in the Ghanaian music industry.


Guess Patapaa got the missing piece of his career puzzle as the song was released with a controversial dance that caught the attention of the whole of Africans.

The dance was criticized in many countries and was accepted with open arms in some other. The dance demonstrates sex moves on several things you can lay your eyes on.

This was criticized primarily because of the effect it could have on children. The critics were unable to stop the One Corner man as the controversial song eventually earned him the VCMA Award in the Most Popular Song category.

Patapaa recently released his debut album, Pa2Pa Sco Pa Tu Maana featured 14 songs in collaboration with other top-rated musicians in the continent.

The phrase “Sco pa tu mana” earned world recognition when it was defined even by as a ‘meaningless phrase’ made famous by a Ghanaian singer, Patapaa.

The phrase eventually attracted the Skopatumana Challenge where fans were spotted posting videos of Patapaa lyrics on social media.

The promising singer continues to show his talent in the music industry and is enjoying life with his white girlfriend. Fans have been calling for his official wedding, but it seems they will have to wait a while.
