In Case You Missed It Meet the Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, Co-Director of the Texas Children’s Fetal Center, a general paediatric surgeon and part of the fetal surgery team.
Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye and his surgeon partner Dr. Darrell Cass of Texas Children’s Hospital carried out a miraculous operation recently…. At around 16 weeks of Margret Boeme’s pregnancy, doctors noticed that there was a life threatening tumour (Sacrococcygeal teratoma)growing on Her unborn babies tailbone.
The tumour was causing the baby’s heart to fail and the only way to save the child was by operating on her whilst the mother was still pregnant.
Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye and his surgeon partners took the foetus out of the mothers womb to remove about 70% of the tumour, doctors also had to restart the baby’s heart and gave her blood transfusion before placing her back into her mother.

After 13 weeks Lynlee Boeme was born again. Doctors removed what was left of her tumour and she is currently doing very well….
This is not the first time Dr. Olutoye has performed such a groundbreaking operation.
Dr Oluyinka was also part of a group of 12 surgeons who successfully performed a 26hr long historic surgical separation of 10month old conjoined twins in Texas last year
It is believed President Obama has invited Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye and his team over to the white house….
