Migrant tragedy: The death toll in the Mediterranean rises

According to Italian coastguard, hundreds of people are feared to have drowned after a boat carrying up to 700 migrants capsized in the Mediterranean Sea… between Libyan waters south of the Italian island of Lampedusa. It has been reported that 28 people have been saved so far…h

The vessel in question is reported to be carrying about  500 -700 migrants…. This is not the first time for the Italian coastguard, since the beginning or 2015 almost 900 or more migrants are believed to have perished in whilst attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea…
