Kidi has dropped an ‘extended play’ EP of five tracks. The EP features Ghanaian-South African singer and songwriter, Adina on one of the songs.

The song includes, lead single, ‘Say Cheese’, ‘One Man’ Ft. Adina, ‘End In Tears’, ‘Freaky Lord’ and ‘Next Time I See You. The team that helped with the production of the EP include, Kayso, Richie Mensah, DatBeatGod, MOG and Nova.

Describing the inspiration behind the title “Blue” for the EP, the say you love me hit maker disclosed that blue is his favourite colour. Also, the colour of the sky and the ocean is blue.

It is mostly related to strength and firmness. It represents order, calmness, healing, hope, faith and heaven.

Therefore, he thought of the pandemic and the panic and economic difficulties associated with this it and decide to name the ep blue to heal people psychologically with the calming effect of the colour blue.

Kidi disclosed that, he had not planned for any projects this year because he was preparing to work on his upcoming album to be released in 2021.

However, this particular project was sparked by the coronavirus outbreak. The artiste revealed that he now spends most of his time recording at the studio due to the controversies associated with the pandemic.

He said staying at home made him explore his versatility as a phenomenal artist by recording songs with different vibes and tunes aside his usual music genre to put up this project because music is the best therapy to inspire, heal and cheer people in this phase of trying times.

According to the high life and Afrobeats singer, Adina a great talent that every artiste would love to perform together with. she was the only featured artiste on the EP because he never planned this project.

Nonetheless, both who were just playing around some rhythms at the studio during his recording session which ended in a collaboration.

Kidi stated that, though he was just waiting for a perfect time to feature Adina on a song because his fans had requested for it for so long but the opportunity brought itself through these lockdown period which was worth for a collaboration.

Unlike his debut album, Sugar comprising of twelve songs which was followed with a movie, the ‘Blue’ EP, which was released on March 08, was accompanied with a 60 munities life band virtual concert on TV3.

He said the Covid-19 crisis shouldn’t denigrate the essence of one’s life so, the songs in the EP is meant to strengthen and give hope to us in this difficult era.

Kidi has been successful with back to back hit since achieving prominence in 2015 after emerging as the winner of the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition.

He’s notable for hits like, ‘Odo’ Ft. Davido and Mayorkun, ‘Adiepenna’, ‘Thunder’, ‘My Girl’, ‘Enjoyment’ and ‘Cinderella’.

After being featured on a couple of songs this year, Ghanaian ace singer and songwriter, Efya has announced her new banger which is set to be realised next month.

The song which is titled, “the one” is a collaboration between Efya and internationally recognised Nigerian singer who is highly admired as “Queen of afrobeats”, Tiwa Savage.

Interestingly, this is a huge collaboration that has been made to serve her fans and the public with a fierce melody during these discouraging times of the covid-19 pandemic to ease their body and soul from the fears.

Efya took to her social media platforms today, asking the public to watch the space as she drops her new song on the 5th of June.

Fellow celebrities and fans across the world have expressed their joy with the two gigantic female artistes putting their beautiful voices in one music.

The team that helped with the production of the song, “the one” is known as Blaq Jerzee.

Efya is also known by her real name, Jane Awindor, is an alumna of the University of Ghana Legon with a first degree in theatre and music. The artiste officially gained public attention in 2008 when she competed in the first edition of the television reality show, stars of the future which she came out second.

Her recognition made her achieve numerous deals and mounted on robust platforms for more exposure.

Since 2008, Efya has produced hits songs and collaborated with colleagues like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr, Eazi, Mugeez, R2bees, Bisa Kdei, etc.

She won Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Best Female Vocal Performance award for four consecutive times (2011- 2014) and a lot more.

In 2012, she was featured in Yvonne Nelson’s movie, Singles and Married. Some of her songs are, ‘Little Things’ ‘One of Your Own’, ‘Best in Me’, ‘Getaway’, ‘Forgetting Me’, ‘Life’, ‘Herself, and ‘Saara’. Efya has been consistent with her music profession and remains one of Ghana’s best female vocalist.

Highly noted as the queen of afrobeat, Nigerian artiste, Tiwa Savage felt her passion for music around 15 years when she and her family had relocated to the United Kingdom.

She started as a backup vocalist for American singer, Mary Jane Blige, Chaka Khan, Ms Dynamite and the late George Michael, a British singer.

Savage partook in the X-Factor television music reality show in the UK in 2006 and later attended the Berklee College of Music obtaining a certificate in professional music in 2007. She also holds a first-degree certificate in accounting at the University of Kent.

After her appearance on the reality show, she gained a deal with American music publishing company which saw her write write for Babyface, Kat Deluna, Fantasia among others.

In 2012, she returned to Nigeria and started her full-time music career. She was signed under Mavin Rcords in Nigeria.

Ghanaian Recording Artist, Song writer, RJZ (Joshua Pharez Essuman-Mensah) has released a new Short Film “For Life,”

RJZ who is also a producer and an actor brought his A Game on “For Life,” his new record, singer RJZ makes an avid argument about the durability of unconditional love.

The emotive chanteur, who labels his versatile music styles as simply, “Feels,” admits that allowing outside opinion to permeate his relationship could strain the union.

However, he posits on the joint—co-produced by Erby and Jaysynths—which a pair bonded by unconditional love, cannot be broken.

The sentiment is prominent in every line of the song, particularly in the following promise:

“Baby there’s somethings ago do till I die/ Like say ago dey by your side for life.”

In 2019, the American entertainment industry received yet another bombshell with the musical film, titled The Lion King, produced by Jon Favreau.

The musical film is a photorealistic remake of Disney’s award-winning traditionally animated film, The Lion King in 1994.

The remake featured top-rated personnel in the entertainment industry including Seth Rogen, Donald Glover, Alfre Woodard, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, Billy Eichner, John Kani, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones.

Despite much contemplation over the availability of the Grammy-award winning star, Beyonce Knowles, Jon Favreau’s adamancy about making Beyonce play the role of Nala eventually paid off.

On November 2017 when it was officially announced that she would be playing the much-anticipated role.

As a result, the successful singer nicknamed the soundtrack “A love letter to Africa.”

The soundtrack has helped market the movie has millions are already aware of the upcoming film due to the proficiency and popularity of the hardworking music icon, Beyonce Knowles.

Her album featured other African top-rated artists; Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa from South Africa, Shatta Wale from Ghana along with Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, and Kendrick Lamar, the producer of the Marvel’s Black Panther soundtrack.

Disney’s United Kingdom premiere saw the meeting of royalty between Lioness Nala, Beyonce and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex for the first time.
