Ghanaian designer Kofi Ansah was one of Ghana’s few designers who gained international recognition. His vibrant, creative and edgy collections have helped pushed African Fashion to glorious heights. Kofi Ansah is credited for designing the Ghana @ 50 anniversary fabric. He also designed the costumes for the performers of both the opening and the closing ceremonies of the CAN 2008 African Cup of Nations which was hosted in Ghana. He was a founding member and a past president of the Federation of African Designers. He owned Artdress, a design and creative concept company through which he developed the art of clothing design, concept collections, and consultancy to develop products and company promotions, and the marketing of their products through fashion shows.
